Todd Palin is a Domestic Terrorist who Hates America

Posted by Dr. Tom on September 21, 2008

The more we learn about the Palin Klan the more obvious it becomes that they are a bunch of radical rednecks who have little previous connection to the civilized world.  In fact, these extreme domestic terrorists and their posse have shown outright contempt for the United States.  Time to expose the potential “First Dude”  as a vengeful and vindictive vigilante.  He and other Alaskan hillbillies are bitter and dangerous as they cling to their guns, booze, and snowmobiles (Alaskan version of pickup truck.)

However, the problems with Todd Palin are much more serious than just the fact that he is a hillbilly hick.  He was a long-term member of the Alaskan Independence Party (AIP) that openly hates America and wants to secede from the United States.  Make no mistake this group is very dangerous and represents the same mind-set that led to the Oklahoma City bombing. Todd runs his wife’s power posse and campaigns like a gangster thug.  Learn why we can’t let this idiot get anywhere near Washington, DC.

Sarah and Todd Palin from their High School Daze.

At the outset, I must object to calling this redneck jerk a “Dude.”  The only real Dude I respect is Jeff Bridges’ character in The Big Lebowski (Read my tribute!!) This idiot reminds me more of John Goodman’s character (Walter Sobchak) from the same movie – hotheaded loose canon who screws up everything he touches.

Todd Palin, Longtime Alaska Independence Party Member
ABC News – September 02, 2008 5:11 PM

Gail Fenumiai, director of the Alaska Division of Elections, tells ABC News that Palin’s husband Todd was a member of the AIP from October 1995 through July 2002, except for a few months in 2000. He is currently undeclared. This third-party (“Alaska First — Alaska Always”) wants Alaskans to vote on whether or not the state can secede from the U.S. Sarah’s husband was a long-time member, and at least two AIP officials recall her attending the 1994 convention, though she says she did not attend.

The AIP has advocated among other things: being allowed to vote to rescind 1958 statehood, joining Canada, and getting a separate seat at the U.N. This is seditious Un-American activity. They do not salute our flag or consider themselves Americans. In a recent interview with Greta Van Sustern, Todd Palin made a distinction between “Alaskan families” and “American families” and only after Sarah’s VP nomination did he register Republican, probably due to pressure from the GOP. This is in line with AIP founder Joe Vogler’s famous pronouncement “I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I’ve got no use for America and her damned institutions.” His final wish, not to be buried under an American flag, was fulfilled. ‘Nuff said.

Todd Palin’s AIP Sympathetic To White Supremacist Group
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 08, 2008

AIP Vice Chairman Dexter Clark didn’t think of the League of the South — a neo-Confederate group that promotes the Confederate flag and seeks an independent Southern republic — as a strange ally for the Alaskan Independents, the third largest political party in the northernmost state.  Alaska Independence Party has no problem rubbing shoulders with White Supremacists groups. In fact Clark, who went to the 2007 Second North American Secessionist Convention, went out of his way to legitimize groups like the League of the South when interviewed by the Anchorage Press:  “We’re not talking about a bunch of Klans-people walking around with white sheets and pointed hats,” Dexter said. “These are some pretty legitimate people with some legitimate concerns about our government.”

Palin Connected to Anti-American Fringe Group
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 04, 2008

The Alaska Independence Party is a fringe Party that is interested in seeing Alaska secede from the Union, to become an independent Country.  The founder of the Alaska Independence Party — a group that has been courted over the years by Sarah Palin, and one her husband was a member of for roughly seven years — once professed his “hatred for the American government” and cursed the American flag as a “damn flag.”

The AIP founder, Joe Vogler, made the comments in 1991, in an interview that’s now housed at the Oral History Program in the Rasmuson Library at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.  “The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government,” Vogler said in the interview, in which he talked extensively about his desire for Alaskan secession, the key goal of the AIP.  “And I won’t be buried under their damn flag,” Vogler continued in the interview, which also touched on his disappointment with the American judicial system. “I’ll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home.”

Sources investigating this story have not been able to find documents that would confirm Palin’s actual membership in the organization. However, Palin has been associated with the group for 15 years and has taken part in a number of AIP events. While confirmation of her membership has not been found, it has been confirmed that her husband, Todd Palin, was in fact a member of the AIP for several years….as recently as 2002. It’s interesting that Todd Palin cleaned up his membership in the group only when his wife decided to run for State-wide office.  The McCain camp has been scrambling to try to put water on this fire by attempting to downplay Palin’s connections to the group. But the connections with the AIP cannot be denied by McCain, despite earlier attempts to make the story go away.  According to the LA Times:

  • The Alaskan Independence Party, founded in 1978, initially promoted “the Alaskan independence movement.” But now, according to its website, “its primary goal is merely a vote on secession.”
  • The McCain camp is currently involved in an effort to clean up Palin’s past. Videos showing AIP meetings where Palin was mentioned are now being removed from Youtube. Don’t you just love Democracy?
  • Another quote from Vogler from the AIP website (a quote that has now been removed) states:  “I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I’ve got no use for America or her damned institutions.”
  • Why isn’t Palin being challenged about her Patriotism at every turn? Why isn’t she being hounded by the media about why she hates America?
  • This is what happens when someone isn’t properly vetted for such an important position. We now know that Palin was not vetted at all by McCain’s people.

September 1, 2008 – Palin’s husband has DWI arrest

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) — A senior adviser to the McCain campaign confirmed Monday that Todd Palin, husband to Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in 1984.  “Yes, 24 years ago he had a DWI,” senior McCain adviser Steve Schmidt told reporters in St. Paul.  Schmidt was asked if he was worried about the news, and replied, “I was not.”  The story was first reported by David Brody, a CNN contributor and Christian Broadcasting Network News Senior National Correspondent.  – NOTE:  Loves some of the comments:

  • Ah, just like Dubya!
  • LOL, more great family values.
  • Oh, so a person driving drunk isnt a big deal?
  • What a bunch of hypocrites republican politicians are.
  • Perfect picture of model family.  We should be cheering for them.  whooo!

First dude probably doesn’t host many teas By Jeannette J. Lee
LA Times – May 06, 2007

… Like other first spouses around the country, Palin has been asked to champion an array of causes or institutions since his wife took office in December.  His favorite is steering young Alaskans toward jobs in the oil and gas industry. It’s a singular choice among his counterparts, whose pet issues include schools, public health, domestic violence, poverty or the arts.  “For those of us who learn by touching and tearing stuff apart and for those who don’t have the financial background to go to college, just being a product of that on-the-job training is really important,” Palin said one morning over pastries at an Anchorage coffee shop, before meeting with trainers at several companies and trade groups in Anchorage and Wasilla.

Palin, who took college courses but does not have a degree, said he was grateful for the training he received from the multinational oil company BP starting in 1989.  Until recently, he earned hourly wages as a production operator in a BP-run facility that separates oil from gas and water. Palin was making between $100,000 and $120,000 a year before he went on leave in December to make more time for his family and avoid potential conflicts of interest. London-based BP is heavily involved in the gas pipeline negotiations with his wife’s administration.  Palin’s advocacy dovetails neatly with his wife’s No. 1 priority: forging a construction contract with private companies to transport natural gas from the North Slope to the Lower 48. The export of natural gas would presumably replace revenue from the state’s dwindling oil reserves, which funded 80% of the state budget last year.

Palin is so passionate about the Iron Dog that he made sure to squeeze in snowmobile runs between official events this winter, such as statewide inaugural galas, and moving the family to the governor’s mansion in Juneau. The capital is 600 miles southeast of the family home in Wasilla.  “I’ve got a really good group of buddies and we train either early in the morning or late at night so we can still make things like the kids’ basketball games and try not to impact the family life,” Palin said.  In past years, Palin has trained about 3,000 miles before the race to accustom his body to hours of constant jolting and to detect any mechanical kinks in his vehicle. This winter, Palin covered more than 2,500 miles on the frozen swamps and rivers around Wasilla. …

At home, Palin takes care of the cooking, the bills and other domestic paperwork, in addition to driving the kids to extracurricular activities like basketball and soccer, according to his wife. He divides much of his time between Wasilla, where Track is recovering from shoulder surgery, and the capital in Juneau, where the Palin girls are in school.  “He can go on just an hour or two of sleep a night. He says, ‘I can sleep when I die,’ ” said Sarah Palin. “There is no way I could have done this job without his tremendous contributions to the home life. He’s able to keep it organized, like a well-oiled machine.”

  1. [...] course, we can also say that Sarah should look closer to home, like her own husband’s associations, before making her outlandish [...]

It’s nice you’re bringing out the facts about the AIP and what not, but you’re taking it a little far and quite frankly wasting your breath. When someone says, “Yes, 24 years ago he had a DWI,” they are NOT stating this action is acceptable. You know that. It was 24 years ago. You sound dumb and lost any chance of quite a few people even taking you as a credible source of information.
